Lacy’s world is expanding into a British comedy featuring Lacy, her dysfunctional family, and some local legends set against the back drop of the English Riviera. The show is currently in development with Fully Focused Productions.

Abigail Sakari

Abigail Sakari is a filmmaker, actress, and movement practitioner, raised in Devon. Her work explores the pursuit of fame, visibility, and external validation in contemporary culture. Drawing from the visual language of social media, reality television, influencer, and meme culture, her films examine the increasingly blurred boundary between performance and identity.

Through satire and moments of unexpected tenderness, Lacy exposes the quiet absurdity of a culture built on self-optimisation, where success, beauty, and wellness become currencies of self-worth.

A former reality television contestant with a philosophical sensibility, Abigail approaches these worlds from both the inside and the outside. Rather than condemning or celebrating internet culture, her work observes it with curiosity, questioning the systems that shape our desires and the stories we tell ourselves about who we should become.

Raised by a Pilates teacher and a father passionate about fitness, movement has always been central to Abigail’s life. She is now a Pilates and functional movement teacher, working with private clients internationally and teaching signature classes at Equinox. This lived experience has profoundly informed the world of Lacy, whose life as an aspiring fitness influencer explores the fine line between genuine wellbeing and obsessive self-improvement.

Alongside her filmmaking, Abigail collaborated with FKA twigs on Oh My Love from CAPRISONGS, writing and performing the closing monologue on self-worth and friendship. Most recently, she appeared in Fightland, executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, showing on Starz.

Abigail’s work explores the moments where ambition, image, and self collide. Rather than offering answers, it asks a simple question:

Are Your Desires Your Own?

Aphra Kennedy Fletcher

Aphra is a filmmaker and award-winning producer whose career spans broadcast television, digital originals, and independent film. She is drawn to stories that might otherwise go untold, and to the craft of finding the right form to tell them.

Her television credits include BAFTA-nominated productions for the BBC and Netflix, alongside original formats for Snap Originals, ITV, and Channel 4 Digital, with commissions secured on both sides of the Atlantic. Her work has earned Webby recognition and helped broadcast-quality storytelling find new audiences on digital platforms.

Aphra brings an instinct for rhythm, an eye for aesthetics, and a slightly unhealthy fascination with technology to her work. Since she was young, she has always created stories agnostic of one platform or format.

Choosing instead to discover the best form for the project and learning how to create it. It is a fascination with how technology shapes the way we live, and the way we see ourselves and each other, that runs through Lacy: a woman constructing herself for an audience she mostly imagines.

Aphra's career began in reality television, and it is there that her empathy for and understanding of the humour of Lacy was born. She has always been fascinated by how people present themselves and the gap between the image and the person.

It is in independent film where she explores the themes at the heart of Lacy: visibility, aspiration, and what it costs to be seen. Her films have earned official selections at BAFTA-qualifying festivals and taken awards at independent festivals around the world.
